Offline Mystery Games: Somatry’s Free First Case
The file can stay open without a network connection. Somatry stores its cases on the device, with a free complete first case and one purchase for the rest of the base collection.

What offline play includes
Every Somatry case is stored on the device and can be played offline. Once the game is installed and the relevant purchase is available, the investigation does not need a connection to read records, flag evidence or work on a case report. The mystery's information is in the file. No outside search is required to supply a missing clue or make a report answer valid.
Offline describes the playing of the cases. Downloading the app, making a purchase and restoring purchases require access to the store. That distinction matters when checking availability. The website's small demo can illustrate a contradiction, but the app is where the complete fifty-case base collection lives. The App Store and Google Play are also where the current supported download and local purchase details can be checked.
Case 1 is free and complete
The first case is B-14, set in the Saltyard in fictional Coldmere. It is not a timed sample or a selection of disconnected tutorial screens. Case 1 is a complete mystery available without purchasing the rest of the collection. Its public introduction shows the premise and opening scene, while the records and report remain in the game. The free case lets the actual interface explain the product.
Read the opening brief, inspect the sources, flag the details that matter and complete the report. Those are the same three actions used throughout the collection. There is no need to infer the full experience from a promotional image alone. The six store screenshots show the reader, flagged evidence, report and city directory, and the website demo supplies a separate tiny example before the game is opened.
One purchase unlocks the base collection
Coldmere County is the fifty-case base collection. Case 1 is free; one in-app purchase unlocks the other forty-nine. The collection spans Coldmere, Ashport and Palewater. The purchase is for those base-game cases, rather than a subscription that must remain active to continue an investigation. Your app store shows the current price in the applicable storefront before the purchase is confirmed.
The website does not quote a universal price because prices vary by country. It also makes no promise about the number of hours any particular case will take. Reading, comparison and revisiting a theory proceed at different paces. The concrete offer is the case collection and its purchase model. Use the free first case to judge whether that kind of written investigation is a good fit.
No ads, no subscriptions, no hint purchases
Somatry's base-game model has no ads, subscriptions or in-game currency. Each case includes three Consults with a colleague, never for sale. A difficult point in a file does not open a separate hint purchase. The next step can be a Consult, a rereading of the source or a more careful comparison of the claims already available in the case.
The game remains a deduction task even when help is available. A report asks who, how, why and when, with support from flagged evidence. Feedback gives the number of correct answers rather than identifying the fields. Every case is solvable with the clues supplied. The absence of a purchased hint system belongs with that fair-play standard: the file contains what is needed to reach an explanation.
Store connections and restoring access
A purchase or restoration needs a connection to the store. For an existing purchase, open a locked case and choose Restore purchases on the store screen, using the same store account as the original purchase. The Support page gives the contact route for access problems. A request about purchase access should be handled through those support instructions rather than through a case report or a website form.
Refund requests are handled through the store you bought from, the App Store or Google Play. The website does not take payments or manage a separate player account. Its download badge leads to the official listing, and its case directory is a public introduction to the collection. Keep a store issue distinct from an investigation question: restoring access concerns the purchase, while the file's Consults and records concern solving the fictional mystery.
Progress and privacy have separate rules
Game progress stays on the device and can be mirrored to the player's own cloud account when cloud sync is enabled. Viral App Labs LLC cannot access that cloud progress. Cloud behavior is separate from the ability to read the locally stored case. The Privacy Policy is the source of truth for data handling, including the anonymous install record, purchase notifications and support email described there.
Offline play should not be read as a claim that the app never uses a network or collects no information. The policy explains its limited services and disclosures. The website itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its store campaign links label a download placement, while its playable demo uses temporary component state and stores nothing. No account or contact form is needed to inspect that example.
Base collection and announced expansion
Coldmere Stories is an announced expansion featuring all nine cities of the fictional county. Its exact release date, case count and purchase requirements have not been announced on the site. The Coldmere County purchase is therefore described only as unlocking the fifty-case base collection. The expansion announcement page records the public scope without promising that a future collection is included in the existing purchase.
For the present game, start with Case 1, use the case index to inspect the collection's premises and follow a district link for the setting. The detective and deduction pages explain the playing process, while the murder mystery page explains the report. The website's short demo is available for a quick illustration. The full offline investigation begins with the app and the complete free first file.
