Ashport

Ashport is the fictional port city on Coldmere County's north coast. Its five districts connect container yards, foundries, banks, flood-marked housing and rail freight. Ashport joins Coldmere and Palewater in the base game's 50 cold cases.

Where a journey changes hands

At Ashport, arrival is rarely the end of a trip. A load moves from a ship to a yard, from a yard to a train, from one office's paperwork to another's. The Stacks and Brannock Yards give those transfers a physical shape. A railway line, a gate and a bank counter can all belong to the same commercial journey, even when the people working them never meet.

The people behind the shift

Ironrow's foundries and union halls belong to the working city. The Tidewall belongs to the people who return home after that work, with the flood line still visible on their doors. Neither district is merely a backdrop for cargo. In the county fiction, meal arrangements, repair lists and meetings carry as much local memory as the official movement of goods.

An address on Wick Street

Wick Street's banks and law firms translate physical things into accounts, agreements and claims. Its quiet rooms contrast with the sound of the harbor, but the two parts of Ashport depend on each other. The city archive follows that relationship through places and ordinary written traces. Inspector Tomasz Rook holds the Ashport files in the game; this collection introduces the setting without opening a case solution.
