Jolliffe, Gwen. 55. Boatwright on the Gull Hard, at the foot of the seawall in the Tidewall, nineteen years. Found at 7:10 on a Saturday morning, four years ago, under the hull of the boat she was working on, by the boat's owner. The boat was down off her trestles. The Ashport coroner's office: crush injuries; she died within minutes. Window 10:30 PM Friday to 2:00 AM Saturday. It rained all night. The team took statements at the Neap, the bar on the seawall along from the hard, and filed an accident. Her phone went to property locked. The lab has opened it. This year Ashport records asked the Neap's landlady for her tab book, which she keeps, and the harbor office for its papers. Nobody had asked before. Both stand. Three names. -V
