Bureau opening brief
Farrant, Leonie. 31. Postdoctoral fellow, the Castellan Lab, room 508, Sallow Hall, University of Coldmere, two years. Found by the lab manager at 7:40 on a Friday morning, eight years ago, inside the lab's cold room. Dr. Bell: hypothermia, death between two and five that morning. The lab door was locked and her keys were in her coat. Ruled an accident: she worked late and alone and went into a cold room with a known fault. Her notebook was never found. Her phone went to her sister, locked. The lab's copy box went to the university archive, sealed. Nobody opened either. Both are in this file, with the room's work orders and the department's papers on the result she was repeating. A copy is written by the same stroke as its page. Four names. -V
