The county location archive describes fictional places. The short-story collections contain original website fiction set around those places. Investigation guides explain reading and reasoning techniques through invented examples. These are different reading experiences, and none should be treated as a list of playable missions or as evidence supplied by a particular game case.
An example of the distinction
A story about a letter trapped in a postbox may illustrate how non-delivery can explain silence. It does not establish that a similar letter, person or mechanism appears in the base game's fifty cases. Enjoy the story's resolution on its own terms, and carry only the general reading habit into a case: check whether sending, receipt and reply have actually been established.
Choose a route through the site
Start with a city guide if you want atmosphere and geography, a story collection if you want a complete short read, or an investigation guide if you want a practical technique. The links between them provide context without requiring a fixed reading order. When you return to Somatry, let the case's own records determine the solution. Familiarity with the wider setting can enrich the mood, but it should not replace the evidence in the file you are actually investigating.
